Mrs Williams has worked at Woodlands for nine years and is a Reception teacher and ICT/EAL Co-ordinator. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family and going for walks in the park.

Mrs Russell Squirrels

Mrs Russell Squirrels

I have worked at Woodlands for 13 years, starting as a teaching assistant, supporting pupils with SEND and mentoring pupils across both key stages. During my teacher training, I specialised in Early Years and I'm very excited to be the teacher in Squirrels this year. I am also a dance teacher and teach children aged 2-7 at a local dance school.

Welcome to Nursery!

We hope that you all had a wonderful half term holiday. The children have been sharing their holiday news with each other during circle time and it sounds like they have had a great time!

We started this half term off with Health Week. The children have tried out lots of different ways of exercising, made healthy snacks and smoothies, explored real fruit and vegetables, created grape sculptures and even ran a mile each day!

Over the next few weeks we will be looking at Spring, The Farm and Easter. We will go out into the school grounds looking for signs of Spring, talk about new life and take part in lots of craft activities.

Can we please ask that all children have a pair of named wellington boots that can be left in school. Using the outdoor environment is a big part of our curriculum and we like to go outside whatever the weather.

Can we also ask that all children bring a small bag with a change of clothes into school with them, All items of clothing, water bottles and lunch boxes must be clearly labelled with your child's name.

Thank-you for your continued support.
